About the Aquatic Facility Operator Class
AFO
The Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification will provide you with the skills necessary to make your facility safer and more efficient.
This 2-day course will train candidates on the most important mechanical, chemical, operations, and risk management aspects of all aquatic facilities.

Registration Deadline: Monday, March 9, 2026
Course material will be sent to each participant in advance following the registration deadline. You are expected to read the manual in advance of the course and bring the material with you to class.
If you are not a current paid LRPA member, you will need to register as a non-member.

We are limited to 30 attendees so register early.
Lodging Information:
Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations.
Our host hotel will be SpringHill Suites by Marriot Baton Rouge, 7979 Essen Park Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 7080, located 2 miles and just an 8-minute drive from the training facility. **Lunch and break snacks will be provided on the first two days. All other meals are on your own.

Cancellations:
Cancellations of registrations must be submitted in writing to the Louisiana Recreation and Park Association and received by Monday, February 23rd in order to receive a refund of the registration fee less cost of a $100 service charge. Allow six (6) weeks after the course event to receive refund checks.
