This year’s conference dates are March 13-15, 2016 at the Baton Rouge Embassy Suites Hotel, 4914 Constitution Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70808.  We anticipate 100-130 jurisdictional Building Officials and Building Code Enforcement Officers in attendance, along with some jurisdictional officials having responsibility for floodplain management.

                 This event unites building department officials throughout the state to promote a wider and intensified civic consciousness concerning the importance of protecting the public in our built environment and ensuring that all are aware of the latest materials, equipment and methods available to the building industry. The Conference also provides a major opportunity for the accumulation of continuing education credits which building officials and building code enforcement officers a required to obtain in order to keep up their professional certifications that they are obliged to maintain under state law.

            The conference presents opportunities for companies and organizations to directly interact with jurisdictional officers who may be key targets in corporate marketing strategies. Indeed, the conference program not only provides opportunities for interaction within the exhibition setting, or at receptions, but also allows time slots for participating companies to make short presentations to the delegates in plenary sessions.
