Details of the Conference

Tour for Spring Conference will consist of Bossier City’s newest Entertainment/Shopping area, the East Bank District.  East Bank District is located less than a half mile from the Horseshoe Casino and is a pedestrian and bicycle friendly area.  Here we will play “Clerk Bingo Blackout” while we tour the area.  At each location Conference attendees will show their beads and merchants will stamp your bingo card.  At the very end, turn in a blackout card for your chance to win some great door prizes.  Here is a list of the locations on the tour.  You can tour in any order you want.

The Bossier Arts Council and East Bank Theater  http://www.bossierarts.org is the anchor for the East Bank District.  They have partnered with the City to help organize and plan all events in the District. While here, you will be able to see Stained Glass from Ed’s Emporium https://www.edsemporium.com. The Arts Council is housed in Bossier City’s very first City Hall and even the old jail is still there.  While visiting Bossier, if you have time, the East Bank Theater will never fail to be a trendy location to enjoy live performances.

Next door to the Arts Council is Bossier City’s old Fire Station and is now home to Flying Heart Brewery http://www.flyingheartbrewing.com.  Here conference attendees will be able to sample Flying Hearts very own craft beers, tour the facility, play games or just grab a table and dine in the District’s absolutely amazing Pizza Kitchen.

Our friends at Hoot & Holler Archery https://www.hootnhollerarchery.com are just down the street.  They have a top notch full service archery store and facility with an indoor shooting range.  Their students, yes kids, have won World Championships in Archery.  Here Conference Attendees will be given a demonstration and can even try your hand at shooting.   Please visit here by 3:00 PM.

Retro 521 https://retro521.com is a quaint Coffee, Café and Venue and was chosen the People’s Choice Winner of the 2018 Louisiana Food Prize Competition.  They offer their customers delicious coffees, pastries and sandwiches.  They will host their 2-year anniversary and Official Chamber Ribbon Cutting on the day of our visit.  There will be treats, coffee samples and maybe even a few surprises.

Did I mention there is a Full Service, World Class Spa that happens to be the sister company to Retro 521?  Destiny Day Spa http://destinydayspa.com is a wonderful relaxing place to grab a glass of wine and relax your cares away.  The environment is uniquely designed to detach you from the day to day hustle and allow you to relax with top notch services.

On your excursion you will be stopping by Bossier City’s newest business, Bayou Axe Co. https://bayouaxco.com. (they are hurrying to be open for us) Here attendees can try their hand at the newest entertainment sensation, Axe Throwing, or you could be a spectator and sit back and relax and enjoy their demo.

One of the hottest restaurants in Bossier City, BeauxJax Crafthouse https://www.beauxjax.com will be on your list of musts,  here Conference attendees can sample some of their wonderful delicacies or order something from their scrumptious Cajun menu that you normally don’t find north of I-10 or their amazing selection of Crafthouse beers and spirits from all over the State of Louisiana.

Last but not least on our list, starting March 5th, every Tuesday in March, April & May the East Bank Market will be set up for your shopping and dining pleasure.  Conference guests will get a small sneak peak of this because we have been working with the promoter to bring some booths just for us.
