State, FEMA Never Provide Mold Certificates or Charge Survivors for Services

The Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and FEMA are aware of a scam involving the sale of mold certificates. GOHSEP and FEMA do not sell or provide mold certificates and never charge survivors for any services.

Survivors should be alert for fraud and immediately report any suspicions of scams to the Louisiana Attorney General’s Consumer Protection hotline at 800-351-4889.
